Salary: £70,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements: Proven experience in a senior infrastructure or systems engineering role. Demonstrated technical competency across several of the following: Microsoft Server Operating Systems, M365 Ecosystem, Microsoft Azure, MS SQL, Firewalls, Routing & Switching, SD-WAN, Microsoft Intune / Autopilot, MDR systems (e.g., Arctic Wolf, CrowdStrike), IT Security Principles, DNS, and Monitoring Solutions. Ideally, sector experience in retail, manufacturing, warehouse distribution, or Digital Marketing. Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and support a team. Excellent problem-solving abilities under pressure. Highly organized and structured with the ability to manage competing priorities. Clear communication skills to build trust and influence across teams. Enthusiasm for technology and continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Act as deputy to the Cloud and Infrastructure Manager, providing senior-level technical expertise. Lead and inspire the Infrastructure team, mentoring others to grow their expertise. Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of on-premise and cloud infrastructure. Ensure all systems are secure, patched, resilient, and proactively monitored, leading on IT security. Contribute to business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup strategies. Provide subject matter expertise on infrastructure improvements, lifecycle management, and capacity planning. Keep clear, up-to-date documentation and procedures supporting operational excellence. Partner with teams across Technology and the wider business to deliver infrastructure projects. Stay ahead of emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
