Are you a Certified MOT Tester in Kent who wants to be the "Master of the Bay"? We are looking for a dedicated Sole MOT Tester to take complete ownership of our testing operations in Faversham. This isn't a role where you'll be looking over your shoulder—we want an expert who takes pride in their standards and can run the MOT side of our business with total autonomy.
Based in the Faversham/Ashford/Canterbury area, we are a premier independent specialist. When you aren't testing, you'll lend your expertise to servicing and mechanical repairs, keeping your day varied and technically engaging.
The Payload (Pay & Perks)
* Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 Basic (Depending on your experience).

The Role: Autonomy & Technical Excellence
As the backbone of our compliance and safety, you'll work on a diverse and interesting fleet that goes far beyond standard hatchbacks.
* Sole Responsibility: Conducting Class 4 & 7 MOT tests to strict DVSA standards.
* Bay Ownership: Keeping your MOT bay clean, organized, and 100% DVSA-compliant.
* Mechanical Skill: Performing routine servicing, brake repairs, and suspension work during gaps.
* Specialist Inspections: Assisting with safety checks for Motorhomes and Horseboxes.
* Diagnostics: Using modern software to identify and resolve mechanical faults.
Are You The One?
* Certifications: A valid DVSA MOT Testing License (Class 4 & 7) is essential.
* Experience: 3+ years as a Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic.
* Expertise: Experience with Mercedes-Benz, VAG, or LCVs is a major plus.
* Autonomy: You are someone who thrives when given responsibility and doesn't need micro-managing.
* Licence: You hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
* Vibe: You are professional, reliable, and ready to be the "go-to" person for MOTs.
