An exciting new role working within the Somerset area. Effectively and proactively manage and support all operational staff, plant, and customers, ensuring the successful completion of all aspects of complex project scope.
Within this role, you will supervise and execute all works to be most effective and support the efficient running of service delivery and the business.
More about the role:
* Responsible for the project delivery of complex projects, as determined by the business. Preparing quotations, arranging works, access, hire items, and programmes.
* Provide end-to-end delivery of complex projects from inception to final reporting and invoicing.
* Ensure all equipment is in suitable condition and on vehicles as required. Hire additional equipment as needed to complete a job.
* Maintain effective communication with all field staff at all times; rearrange work requirements if needed.
* Ensure staff are trained to complete works safely and to standard. Ensure all paperwork and documentation are available to inform field staff.
* Carry out site visits to ensure correct and full RAMS are completed. Method statements and risk assessments should be regularly reviewed and updated. The Project Manager is responsible for health and safety on their projects.
* Collate and check all paperwork and pass to the appropriate department promptly.
* Implement new procedures and processes as required, ensuring full compliance.
* Deputise for staff during annual leave, e.g., Head of Operations, Operations Managers.
About you:
* Transferable project management experience, including pricing, planning, delivery, financial management, and reporting.
* Knowledge and experience within the water industry or similar environment.
* Understanding of health and safety at work, with experience in implementing safe systems of work and managing staff wellbeing.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with colleagues, workforce, and clients.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Experience with confined spaces, Street Works, CDM regulations is desirable.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Right to work in the UK is essential.
