We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client on a temp-to-perm basis. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth handover before the current postholder leaves. The position is well-suited to a confident, people-focused professional who enjoys working in a supportive and flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-day bookkeeping duties
2. Processing payments and supplier invoices
3. Credit control and managing outstanding balances
4. Bank reconciliations
5. Preparing and submitting VAT returns
6. Maintaining accurate financial records using Sage
7. Using Excel for reconciliations and financial tracking
8. Liaising with internal teams and external advisors as required
Skills and Experience
9. Proven experience in a bookkeeping-focused role
10. AAT qualification (or working towards) preferred
11. Strong experience with Sage
12. Confident user of Excel
13. Experience handling VAT returns
14. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
15. Strong communication skills; confident, outgoing, and professional
