Rooftop Mortgages Ltd (Part of the BCMGlobal Group) is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead regulatory compliance within our Mortgage Administration business. This critical role ensures that we remain fully compliant with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations while managing regulatory risks and providing expert compliance advisory support.
This is a Certification role as per SM&CR and requires a proactive, detail-oriented compliance professional with strong regulatory expertise.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with FCA rules, particularly the Mortgage Conduct of Business (MCOB) sourcebook.
* Provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty and AML obligations.
* Develop, review, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
* Act as a primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and internal audits.
* Manage compliance with SYSC 8, focusing on outsourcing and operational risk.
* Oversee the compliance monitoring plan using a risk-based approach.
* Identify and manage regulatory risks in alignment with the Group Risk Framework.
* Deliver clear, insightful compliance reports to senior leadership and the board.
* Support the MLRO in anti-money laundering activities and financial crime risk assessments.
* Investigate Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and support broader financial crime controls.
* Assist the Managing Director with RML-related compliance responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of UK regulatory frameworks.
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with a risk-focused mindset.
Preferred:
* Relevant compliance qualifications (e.g., ICA or equivalent).
* Minimum 3 years of compliance management experience in a UK-regulated firm, ideally in the mortgage sector.
* Solid knowledge of FCA Handbooks, MCOB, SMCR, SYSC, and AML regulations.
* Experience developing and managing compliance monitoring programmes.
