We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
* Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
* Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required for various dishes.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times.
* Support catering events by assisting with food setup and service as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals during service hours.
* Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Skills
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including catering or restaurant experience.
* Basic culinary skills, including cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
