A skilled Production Technician is needed by a well-established manufacturer based in Mildenhall, Suffolk, as they expand their operations. This role involves maintaining and enhancing machinery within both the Lathe and Assembly departments. What's the pay & hours?
Offering a competitive starting salary ranging from £27,000 to £35,000 per annum, based on your experience. Enjoy regular opportunities for overtime at enhanced rates and some of the region's most attractive shift premiums. Both AM and PM shifts are available, with a standard 40-hour workweek.
Production Technician Duties?
1. Maintaining and repairing multispindle lathe machines and automated assembly equipment
2. Diagnosing faults related to machine wear and product quality
3. Assisting with machine operation to support production output when needed
4. Investigating and implementing process improvements and cost-saving measures
5. Providing training and support for new and existing team members
6. Using maintenance software to log and complete tasks
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will:
7. Have 2-5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably 24/7 or shift-based
8. Possess a strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with multispindle lathes or automated assembly machines
9. Be self-motivated, disciplined, and a great team player
10. Have experience working within ISO 9001:2015 standards
11. Be willing to provide weekend engineering cover on a rotational basis
