Overview
Oakhurst has 3 vacancies for full time Residential Social Care Workers in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. This is a 24 hour a day service requiring a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Rotas operate on a 4-week rolling basis to provide a work-life balance. Enhanced payments apply for evening, weekend and bank holiday shifts.
Working in Residential Child Care is a regulated role. Appointment is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check. Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for full-time posts unless otherwise stated. Responsibilities
* Provide residential care and support to children in a 4-bed specialist home, ensuring their safety and welfare.
* Collaborate with the team to meet the developmental and emotional needs of the young people.
* Work as part of a committed team to deliver high-quality care and consistent routines for the children.
* Adhere to policies, safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements; participate in ongoing training and development.
* Be flexible to cover a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with rota-based working.
Qualifications & Experience
* Ideally NVQ Level 3 / Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare; if not, willingness to undertake this qualification.
* At least 6 months of experience within Residential Child Care.
* Evidence of responses to shortlisting criteria in the application.
