We are currently recruiting for a Capital Projects Planner to join our team, You will take ownership of planning preventive, planned, and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring all work is delivered within contractual SLAs while optimising travel routes and field productivity through a “Right First Time” approach. Your day-to-day oversight of operational performance will enable you to identify non-completions, reallocate work effectively, and meet our service completion targets. Working Hours & Location Salary : £28,000 - £30,000 per annum Shift pattern: Monday - Friday (8am - 4:30pm) Location: Sheffield Holidays: 25 days holiday Bank holidays About the role: Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with Stores, Supervisors, and key operational stakeholders to ensure jobs are properly prepared, resourced, and executed. You will also act as a point of contact for customer enquiries, managing issues with professionalism and accountability. You will be responsible for maintaining high levels of data accuracy within our work management systems and ensuring that all activities, updates, and escalations are recorded promptly. Your contributions will extend beyond daily planning—supporting continuous improvement initiatives, participating in scheduled meetings with internal and external stakeholders, and delivering insight that enhances the effectiveness of the wider operations function. Above all, you will champion operational excellence and customer service, playing an important role in driving consistency, efficiency, and a positive experience for both colleagues and customers Skills, behaviours and qualifications Experienced Planner, preferably in the Utilities Industry Fantastic Attention to Detail Experience of working within a fast-paced environment would be a n advantage. Competent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Customer focused with the desire to provide a fantastic customer experience. Strong understanding of reactive wastewater network maintenance, including repair and survey processes would be an advantage. Ability to analyse and validate operational data to ensure accurate scheduling. Experience managing works requiring customer access and traffic management considerations would be an advantage. Familiarity with scheduling software and operational planning tools used within the water industry contracts would be an advantage. This position is open to Internal and External candidates.
