Job Title: Deputy Care Manager – Location: King's Lynn, Norfolk, UK – Salary: £36,360 - £38,577 (sleep allowance included)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced professional to join a leading specialist provider as a Deputy Care Manager in King's Lynn. This role offers the chance to support the management team in delivering high-quality care within a children’s residential home that supports young people aged 8 to 18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Key Responsibilities
* Support the management team in running the day-to-day operations of the children’s residential home in King's Lynn.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
* Assist with the induction and training of new staff members, embedding company procedures and culture.
* Ensure the delivery of outstanding care tailored to the physical, behavioural, and emotional needs of young people.
* Help develop and maintain individual placement and risk management plans.
* Support young people with daily activities, including family contact, community outings, and promoting independence and social skills.
Requirements
* NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Residential Services or equivalent (ESSENTIAL).
* Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker within children’s residential services (ESSENTIAL).
* Full UK Driving Licence, as transportation of young people may be required.
* Over the age of 21.
* Willingness to work towards or already hold a Level 5 qualification in Children’s Residential Care.
* Passionate about supporting young people aged 8 to 18 with EBD and committed to delivering excellent care.
