Offer description

Love sharing your views on Cardiff, student life, and have tips on the best places to go and things to see in the city? Comfortable on camera? We want to hear from you!

To give prospective students an insight into life in Cardiff, were looking for a team of current students who will be able to film short videos throughout the year (typically under 2 minutes once edited), covering all sorts of topics, from Welcome Week to Varsity to your top 5 coffee shops.

You will not be required to edit the videos yourself, just to film them.

Pay and benefits:

* Flexible hours - film to fit your schedule.
* Hours worked can be counted as part of the Cardiff Award.
* Access to additional, optional work opportunities throughout the year.
* Either get paid per video submitted, or work on a series - a brief will be provided ahead of work
* Paid the rate of £13.45 per hour

Requirements:

* Able to communicate clearly on camera.
* Able to film good quality content; no editing skills are required for this role, but footage provided must be of a good enough quality to edit.
* Willing to discuss own experiences at university.
* Good time management – you will be working independently and while your hours are flexible, you will be asked to meet agreed deadlines.
* Creativity - you can submit your own topics to cover (these will be approved before you start filming to avoid duplication).
* Knowledgeable about university life.
* Involved in student life, for example clubs and societies (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

* Attend any compulsory training (you will be paid for any required training).
* To apply: submit a short video (max. 2 minutes), recorded in landscape, telling us about your favourite place in Cardiff.
