GVR Bulding Services are Looking for a skilled bench joiner to execute the assembly
of finished timber based product as per specifications and to the required level of
quality. Attention to detail is key in this role as well as speed of execution. Some
degree of hand machining will be involved in some of the work required. Occasionally there might be some requirement to attend site in order to carry
out some work but the role will be primary factory based.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
-Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D CAD drawings in order to fully
comprehend the specification and client requirement.
- Ability to read and understand all supportive manufacturing documents such as
cutting list or factory orders documentation
-Any assembly work will be communicated by the Assembly team leader in order
to detail and advise on the manufacturing approach.
- In some occasion, a handover meeting will take place on larger project in order
to provide a full overview of the project as well as highlight any critical details
- Report back to the team leader if any issues are identified during the assembly
process
- Components required for the assembly process will be fully machined prior to
being allocated to bench joiner.
- Ability to use hand tools such as hand trimmers, hand saw, hand edger as well as
manual tools such has chisels, etc…
- Knowledge & ability to work with any material such as MFC, MFMDF, sprayed
elements, veneered elements or solid wood.
General duties:
Based on the shopfloor planning and workload, additional duties and support
might be needed in other areas of the business
-Occasionally there might be some requirement to attend site in order to carry
out some work but the role will be primary factory based.
- Challenge current ways of working to increase shopfloor efficiency
- Ensure factory housekeeping standards are maintained
- Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at all times (use of PPE)
- Ensure Environmental standards are maintained at all times
- Assist with other business manufacturing processes whenever required.
Rate: Bench Joiner will be paid an annual salary of £35,000 - £40,000
Duration: Bench Joiner will be employed by the company
Hours: Bench Joiner will be in joinery workshop from 08.00am - 16.00pm - 1 hour break
