Job Description
Our Central Production Engineering department is looking for a Process and CMMS Engineer on a VIE contract for 12–24 months, based in Peterborough (UK). The VIE scheme (Volontariat International en Entreprise – International Internship Programme) is open to any EU nationals. This role is specifically aimed at candidates eligible to join Crown as a VIE for a fixed-term contract of 12 to 24 months. Your Mission In Crown
* Support Process & CMMS Engineers across EMEA (17 production sites) with data capture automation, analysis and reporting.
* Contribute to the standardization of department-related areas and SOPs.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement activities of the department.
* Support various engineering projects assigned to the department.
About You
* The successful candidate is a graduate in Industrial Engineering. You are fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong project management abilities.
* You are IT literate, especially in Microsoft Office 365—particularly Excel (Power Query, data models, pivot tables), SharePoint (architecture, file structures, permissions, collaboration tools), and Power BI (data structures, dashboards, publishing).
* You have a strong interest in learning manufacturing processes, production flows and maintenance concepts (preventive, corrective, computer maintenance management systems). You have basic academic knowledge of Lean tools (5S, SMED, Kaizen, DMAIC), problem‑solving techniques and root cause analysis, and you are eager to develop practical experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
* You have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail and solid problem solving abilities. You can manage multiple tasks, set priorities and demonstrate strong organizational and data administration skills.
* You are a good communicator, both written and verbal, with good presentation skills. Proactive and willing to learn, you can work in a multicultural environment where teamwork is key.
* You can work to tight deadlines and have a continuous improvement mindset. English is mandatory; another European language is a plus. Training will be provided.
