Technical and Resources Manager (40753-1025)
University of Warwick is seeking to appoint a Technical and Resources Manager based in the Department of Psychology. The key purpose of this role is to lead responsibility for the quality of the technical aspects of the Psychology Department, support and facilitate research projects, and provide IT and research skills to staff and students by fully utilizing available equipment, software, hardware and data.
The role helps design, develop, maintain, and improve resources, research and administration processes required to implement the research and teaching systems of the Psychology Department. It also ensures the provision of Health and Safety across all departmental activities, visitors, staff and students.
Responsibilities
* Lead and improve the technical quality of departmental resources and systems.
* Provide IT support and training to staff and students, particularly in the discipline of Psychology.
* Maintain and optimise hardware, software, and data infrastructure.
* Collaborate with research teams to support technical needs for projects.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and data protection requirements.
* Participate in flexible working arrangements on a part‑time or shared basis if required.
Qualifications
* Good honours degree in a relevant discipline with knowledge of Psychology.
* Experience of IT support in a Higher Education environment, especially within Psychology.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
