Your Role
As a Bid Writer at Amber Labs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping winning proposals and securing strategic opportunities for one of our public sector clients. You will work closely with subject matter experts and bid teams to craft compelling, compliant, and high-scoring responses.
Responsibilities
* Understanding Buyer requirements and identifying hot buttons and pain points to address.
* Building strong relationships with Subject Matter Experts to transform raw material into persuasive bid responses and sales proposals.
* Reviewing, editing, and re-engineering content authored by others to maximise scoring potential.
* Managing multiple bid responses simultaneously as part of expert bid teams.
* Challenging and enhancing content to ensure clarity, depth, and coverage.
* Ensuring consistency across all elements of the bid response.
* Applying high standards of grammar, layout, and readability while adhering to Buyer compliance instructions.
* Developing win-themes and embedding them strategically across responses.
Your Skills and Experience
Essential skills:
* Proven experience in large and/or complex deals where written submissions were critical to success.
* Demonstrable success in winning public sector bids, including common government frameworks.
* Broad technical writing experience, particularly in areas such as Applications and Digital Transformation, blending traditional offerings with innovative technologies.
* Strong copywriting skills applied to technical subject matter, with the ability to clearly articulate win themes and business value.
Desirable skills:
* APMP certification (advantageous but not essential).
