Role Summary

Deliver practical and theory lessons in a range of D&T disciplines including resistant materials, electronics, and CAD/CAM.

Encourage students to develop their design thinking, practical skills, and ability to innovate.

Lead extra-curricular activities such as design clubs, competitions, and community projects.
*
Maintain and develop workshop and studio facilities to ensure a safe and inspiring learning environment.
*
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives to raise standards and student outcomes.
Candidate Profile
*
Degree or equivalent qualification in Design & Technology or related subject with QTS.
*
Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4, ideally with knowledge of GCSE specifications.
*
Skilled in practical workshop teaching, health and safety procedures, and digital design tools.
*
Enthusiastic about inspiring creativity and collaboration among students.
*
Strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing.
