1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Northampton
£85–£95 per day
Start: ASAP | Part-Time | Driving preferred
The role:
Vision for Education is seeking a resilient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil 1:1 in a mainstream primary school in Northampton. This role is to start as soon as possible and is ongoing.
You will be working with a challenging pupil who responds well to a learn-through-play approach, requiring consistency, patience, and a calm, proactive attitude. We are looking for someone who can commit to building a long-term relationship and provide stability and support throughout the placement.
Working hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – Mornings only
Wednesday – Full day (with some flexibility)
Due to the school’s rural location, a driver is preferred.
Requirements:
✅ Strong experience supporting pupils with behavioural needs
✅ Must have similar experience in a UK-based school
✅ Understanding of de-escalation strategies and emotional regulation
✅ Calm, consistent and proactive approach
✅ Relevant TA/SEND qualifications or equivalent practical experience
