Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join an existing experienced and knowledgeable staff team for a 1 bedded and a 2 bedded children’s residential home within North Tyneside. Holly Tree requires one full time (37 hours) fixed term (12 months) to offer support to the young people and staff team working a variety of shift patterns including daytime/evenings, weekends and holidays.
The home caters for young people with disabilities and additional needs. The home provides support to young people through building positive relationships, providing a nurturing environment, whilst dealing with complex issues and supporting the young people to have positive outcomes and achievements to reach their full potential, and promoting independence.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to the young people and staff team across a variety of shift patterns (daytime/evenings, weekends and holidays).
* Build positive relationships and create a nurturing environment for residents.
* Support young people to address complex issues and work towards positive outcomes and achievements; promote independence.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Enhanced DBS disclosure, including Barred List Check, will be required.
* The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
* Post holder must be able to work across shifts as part of a full-time pattern.
