About the Role
As part of a continued build-out of their Risk Modelling team, they’re looking for an experienced IFRS9 Modeller to lead a talented group of modellers and data scientists. This team is responsible for developing and managing risk and macroeconomic models used to forecast the bank’s loss provisions.

Responsibilities
* You’ll have a broad remit across the IFRS9 landscape, working with models covering both Retail and Business banking products and customers.
* The team’s focus spans development, validation, monitoring and ongoing management of models, ensuring they deliver meaningful insights and robust support to key stakeholders across Risk and Finance.
* In this leadership role, you’ll drive the design and implementation of credit risk models, ensuring alignment with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
* You’ll be accountable for maintaining model integrity, usability and governance, as well as producing high-quality documentation.
* Equally, you’ll play a key role in developing your team and embedding a culture of excellence in model delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
* To be successful, you’ll bring significant hands-on experience in IFRS9 or econometric model development across Retail or Business credit portfolios.
* A knowledge of Mortgages/Secured lending would be a distinct advantage
Required Skills
* Advanced skills in statistical software such as SAS, Python, or R.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Sound judgment in model-related decision-making.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with economic processes or deeper IFRS9 expertise would be an added advantage.
