Full time hours – 37.5 (Shifts are 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday)

Role Overview
As an Inventory & Business Support Assistant you will oversee the requisition process of suppliers. Working in collaboration with Purchasing and main stores, you will ensure timely delivery of all items of PPE stock and service for a designated area.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
1. Oversee the requisition and purchase order process by reviewing all outstanding requisitions and purchase orders in the PeopleSoft system on a regular and timely basis.
2. Deal with Medical Device Alerts (MDAs) and organise the collection and return to the supplier of the affected items.
3. Assist colleagues in Stores, Theatres and Angio with queries on Inventory module of PeopleSoft and escalate accordingly to Inventory Manager and Bupa UK PeopleSoft team.
4. Have good Excel skills and be able to use them for preparing, manipulating and maintaining excel based system reports as required by the Inventory Manager.
5. Liaise with Bupa UK PeopleSoft team and Bupa UK Procurement team with regards to any system related issues (including transmission to Suppliers) and Supplier catalogue issues.
6. Arranging for the return of goods which have been received faulty or damaged, or have been ordered in error, or are otherwise surplus to requirements.
7. Dealing with general stock enquiries from staff. Responding to, and, resolving, all ‘day to day’ enquiries directly with the enquirer, only referring enquiries/queries to the Inventory Manager if unable to resolve
8. Supporting yearly external stock take
9. Carrying out any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the Head of Supply Chain or Inventory & Purchasing Manager
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
10. Proven experience across Inventory or Supply Chain
11. Effective communication at team level with good interpersonal skills and the ability to create strong supporting relationships with internal customers
12. A systematic, organised approach to work
13. Good numeracy skills and the drive to work with attention to detail
14. The ability to manage their own workload to a consistently high standard and to work as part of a team or independently
15. A strong customer service ethic
16. Proficient in Excel
