REE is revolutionizing e-Mobility from the ground-up. Our disruptive REE-corners and fully flat, ultra-modular EV platforms are set to become the standard for electric vehicles. Providing complete design freedom to build mission-specific EVs, EVs ‘Powered by REE’ will provide maximum room for passengers, cargo, and batteries with the smallest footprint and help reduce carbon emissions for a greener world.
We are currently looking for a Lead Engineer - Steering Systems to support REE’s rapid growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the engineering & delivery of REE steer-by-wire systems to meet program-specific targets including functional performance, quality, cost, and timing.
2. Responsible for population and maintenance of steering system component BOMs in PLM, and associated releasing activities.
3. Managing the workload of the supporting internal & external Engineering resources.
4. Managing regular engineering reviews with key suppliers & external partners.
5. Writing & supporting implementation of vehicle-level validation plans.
6. Responsible for steering system DFMEA, DVP, & DFM.
7. Technical interface to external REE teams.
Requirements:

2. Excellent communicator with the ability to use the most effective forms of communication across internationally located teams and time zones.
3. Be a team player with the ability to work alongside talented colleagues as part of a driven and dedicated team.
4. Proven experience in developing and delivering chassis systems from concept to production within an OEM or tier 1 organization.
5. Competent in Automotive DFMEA, DVP & DFM.
6. Familiarity with 3DEXPERIENCE or another PLM system.
7. Previous experience of steer-by-wire systems is welcomed but not essential.
8. Previous experience of EPS/EPAS systems is an advantage.
9. Understanding of CAN bus communication and sensor technologies is advantageous; capability to learn in these areas is essential.
10. Understanding of motor technologies and control strategies is advantageous; capability to learn in this area is essential.
11. Vector tools familiarity (vSignalyzer, CANape, CANoe) is an advantage.
12. Proficient in Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
