In this position you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of company employees, clients, and visitors. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures that align with industry standards and regulations.

The role:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with UK regulations
Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and address potential hazards and risks in the workplace
Provide safety training and educational programs to employees at all levels, ensuring a strong safety culture across the organisation
Investigate and document workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop action plans to prevent recurrence
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safety awareness and facilitate a proactive approach to safety
Stay up to date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices and ensure company-wide compliance
Manage safety-related documentation and reporting, including maintaining records, incident reports, and safety statistics
The person:
An experienced & qualified Health & Safety Manager from a production / manufacturing background (ideally food)
Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs and policies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skill
Proficient in using safety management software and tools
A confident professional leader with excellent communication & organisational skills and high attention to detail
