Your NewpanyA reputable UK insurer is seeking an experiencedmercial Claims Adjuster to join its established and growingmercial Claims team. As part of a wider claims function, you will play an integral role in managingplex and varied losses acrossmercial Property and Liability lines.
Your New RoleIn this role, you will take ownership of a portfolio ofmercial Property and Liability claims, typically involving a mix of property damage, escape of water, fire, BI exposures, Employers’ Liability and Public Liability incidents.
You will be responsible for handling each claim from first notification through to settlement, conducting full coverage analysis, reviewing policy wordings and ensuring accurate reserving throughout the lifecycle of each case. You will work closely with brokers, underwriters, loss adjusters, legal representatives and internal stakeholders to progress claims efficiently and fairly.
The role requires a confidentmunicator with the ability to provide clear guidance, negotiate effectively and maintain strong relationships across the market. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, sharing insights and supporting enhancements in process, customer service and operational performance.
What You’ll Need to SucceedTo succeed in this role, you will bring experience handlingmercial Property and/or Liability claims, ideally gained within an insurer or established claims environment. You should possess a solid understanding of UKmercial lines, including coverage interpretation, liability assessment and the ability to manageplex or contentious cases. Strong analytical and decision‑making skills are essential, along with the confidence to manage a varied and often busy caseload.
You will need strongmunication skills, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external partners. Progress towards ACII would be advantageous, but is not essential.
