Area Technical Operations Manager
Role Description
We have an exciting home-based opportunity for an Area Technical Operations Manager within the Allianz Engineering Inspection Services team.
As an ATOM, you’ll have the opportunity to develop key skills such as Leadership, motivation, coaching, problem solving and ability to influence decision making.
This is a remote role with no expectation to be in office. However, you will be covering a large geographical area and you must be able to travel and stay away for business needs.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £65,000 per annum.
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
* Provide highly effective proactive leadership and performance management of a team of Engineer Surveyors.
* Motivate and drive the Engineer Surveyor team in order to achieve business KPI and service levels with regard to inspection service delivery.
* Ensure that the team delivers optimum operational performance.
* Provide full contribution to the management of the business, working closely with all other ATOMs and the NTOM to ensure National and business success.
* Ensure the team meets its requirements in accordance with both statutory and regulatory obligations.
* Manage and audit Engineer Surveyor performance and technical competence in accordance with prescribed guidelines.
* Adopt effective Client Relationship Management techniques to identify customer technical inspection requirements and opportunities to provide other technical services.
* Engage every team member in achieving team goals and delivering excellent performance.
* Focus on results and driving efficiency savings and increasing productivity levels across the team.
* Proactive communication and a passion for building professional relationships with the team.
* Work fast and energetically to make things happen for the team, clients and the business to a very high standard.
* Constantly anticipating the need to adapt existing processes in response to upcoming customer, industry or business change.
* Retain up to the minute understanding of the Allianz UK business and its customers to drive wider performance.
Essential Skills
* Experience of managing the delivery of a high-quality service to meet KPIs and SLAs
* A good level of IT and literacy skills in order to complete detailed reporting & analysis
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience of performance and people management is desirable
Qualifications
* HND / HNC / ONC / Full Technological Certificate / 18th Edition / Board of Trade Chief Engineer 1st Class Certificate of Competence or comparable
