Job Summary
RecQuest is proud to be working on behalf of an ambitious law firm seeking to expand its Rural Property team. They are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Secretary with experience in rural property transactions to join their growing office in Winchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in property law, particularly in rural estates, agricultural land, and farm transactions, to provide essential administrative support and help ensure the smooth operation of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing correspondence and legal documents related to rural property transactions, including sales, purchases, leases, and tenancy agreements
* Liaising with clients, landowners, agents, surveyors, and other stakeholders involved in rural property matters
* Assisting with title checks, searches, and ensuring compliance with Land Registry and agricultural regulations
* Managing telephone and email enquiries professionally, providing timely updates to clients
* Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems
What We Offer:
* Competitive salary range: £25,000 – £35,000
* Full-time, permanent position
* Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
What We’re Looking for:
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Rural Property or Agricultural Conveyancing
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions
* Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office
* High attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
