Amazon is currently looking for a highly motivated, forward-thinking Transportation Carrier Manager to join the Transportation team.
The role is a critical function within Amazon EU Operations, focused on continuously improving service levels, capacities, and costs of the EU Transportation Line Haul to ensure customer promises are maintained.
Key job responsibilities
1. Track existing metrics to detect & remove defects
2. Manage line haul performance (e.g., on-time truck performance)
3. Implement continuous improvement initiatives
4. Coach, educate, and facilitate growth relationships between Amazon and our dedicated transport partners
5. Support contract management and ensure contract compliance
6. Plan and execute for Q4 (Amazon Peak)
7. Support the Operations Planning (OP) process: setting goals
8. Prepare and participate in recurrent operations calls, business reviews, QBRs, and customer service workshops to support improvement plans
9. Maintain and enhance communication, processes, and interfaces with Fulfillment Centers and partners
10. Develop relationships with partners to encourage communication and facilitate new opportunities
To succeed, you should have a passion for data-driven decision-making that impacts customer experience. Relevant experience in transportation, including transport management, planning, compliance, or performance, is required. Key skills include effective communication across audiences, flexibility, adaptability to new tools, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with attention to detail and collaboration across teams.

The Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team plays a vital role in Amazon’s success, utilizing air, sea, and road transport, along with advanced sortation centers, to maximize efficiency. The team leverages data to drive decisions, fostering innovation and operational excellence. We prioritize safety and the well-being of our people while ensuring packages reach their destinations quickly, conveniently, and sustainably.
Minimum requirements
* Transport management experience
* A degree in a relevant field
* Experience in supply chain, program, or project management
* Proven ability to define and implement process improvements using data and metrics
* Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
* Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
* Hold or previously held a Transport CPC Qualification
* Experience in end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
* Experience leading process improvements and stakeholder management
* Ability to build processes, manage projects, and create schedules
* Knowledge of SQL
