Childrens Deputy Home Manager - Contextual Safeguarding

Hinckley, Leicestershire

£36,428 - £48,749

Full-time | Half Mon-Fri and half shift patterns

Working for one of the largest children's charitys in England with over 800 services and growing.

As a Childrens Deputy Home Manager, youll play a key role in shaping a safe, nurturing environment where young people can grow and thrive. Working closely with the Registered Manager, youll guide your team, lead by example, and make sure every child receives the stability, care, and encouragement they deserve.

About The Service

Our beautiful new home in Hinckley will support children & young people between 8-18 years facing risks around exploitation,by identifying and responding to harm and abuse posed to them outside of their home environment and understanding the importance of intervention. The service will provide up to 3 service users at any one-time opportunities to enjoy different experiences, establish friendships and develop confidence, independence and social/emotional skills.

What Youll Be Doing

As Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of the young people in our care. Your responsibilities will include building trusting, nurturing relationships that promote independence, wellbeing, and resilience. Collaborating with parents/carers and professionals to ensure holistic support. Leading shifts and supervising staff to maintain high standards of care. Supporting the Registered Manager with audits and operational duties. Contributing to the daily running of the home, including cooking and cleaning. Maintaining accurate records and documentation. Upholding safeguarding policies and procedures. Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment at all times.

What Were Looking For

A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services, or a willingness to work towards it.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Children's Residential setting and at least 1 year of supervisory and shift-leading experience.

Strong knowledge of OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards, with the ability to support the home in achieving an Outstanding rating.

Experience in safeguarding, recording, and reporting to protect children and young people.

Pay and Benefits

£36,428 - £48,749
