Role Overview They are seeking an Tax Accountant (either with min 2 years’ experience or fully qualified) to join their practice and take responsibility for managing both corporate and personal tax compliance and advisory work. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, partners, and colleagues to deliver accurate, compliant, and value-added tax services, ensuring deadlines are met and opportunities for tax efficiency are identified. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and review corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns for a varied client base. * Manage tax compliance processes, ensuring timely submission and adherence to HMRC regulations. * Provide tax planning and advisory support, identifying opportunities for clients to minimise tax liabilities. * Assist with HMRC enquiries and liaise directly with tax authorities where required. * Support VAT compliance and advisory work, including registration and partial exemption queries. * Prepare and review P11D and PAYE Settlement Agreements. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax legislation and communicate key changes to clients and colleagues. * Support junior team members through supervision, training, and review of work where appropriate. * Contribute to the overall growth and success of the tax department and wider practice. Key Skills & Experience * Qualified or part-qualified in ACA / ACCA / CTA (or equivalent). * Previous experience working in a UK accountancy practice environment (essential). * Sound knowledge of corporation tax, personal tax, and VAT principles. * Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. * Competent in using tax and accounting software (e.g. IRIS, CCH, Sage, Xero). * Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and client relationship skills. * Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload efficiently.
