About the Role This flexible position gives you the opportunity to work across a range of specialist schools and provisions in North Bristol and South Gloucestershire, providing hands-on support that helps pupils thrive. Each day brings something new, whether you’re offering focused 1:1 support, joining small-group learning, or stepping into different classrooms to assist wherever you’re needed. Your responsibilities may include: Supporting pupils individually or in small groups, helping them engage with learning in a way that suits their needs Assisting teachers with activities, resources, and general classroom organisation Helping pupils with personal care and daily routines when required Building warm, trusting relationships as you move between classes and age groups It’s a varied role with lots of opportunities to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ confidence, development and day-to-day experience in school. Who We’re Looking For We’re interested in hearing from people who: Bring patience, empathy and flexibility to their work Communicate clearly and enjoy being part of a supportive team Have experience working with children or young people in any setting Are comfortable assisting with personal care when needed Can travel to schools across North Bristol Have a genuine passion for helping pupils with additional needs succeed Experience in SEN or previous work as a Classroom Support Assistant is a bonus, but not essential.
