St James Primary School is a popular, two form entry school in Weybridge. We are a friendly, caring school, with delightful children, supportive parents and a hard working staff team.
We are looking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic and organised Administrative Assistant to join our busy school office. The successful candidate will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills as the role involves a high level of interaction with people, on the phone, by email/letter and face to face.
As a core member of the school office team, your role is to effectively manage the administration for our wraparound care clubs, including offering places, processing payments and producing weekly registers. In addition, the role also includes general administrative duties such as, but not limited to, parent communications, managing pupil data and supporting with medical needs.
Applicants should be calm, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, ensure discretion and be able to provide excellent service whilst coping with interruptions. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
The successful candidate will be caring and supportive to the needs of the children, be committed to our safeguarding responsibilities and work with the St James team to ensure all children become the 'best they can be'. THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
* Previous administration experience.
* A proven ability to work on their own initiative.
* A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
