Full Time Primary Teaching Assistant A primary school in Stockport is looking for a full-time primary teaching assistant confident in supporting students with additional needs across all areas and age groups for the new school year in September. The school is looking for an experienced teaching assistant to contribute to their nurturing environment with a passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential. Role Description - Provide learning support across all year groups, assisting in a variety of classroom settings. - Support students both in whole class settings, smaller intervention groups and in 1-to-1 sessions as required. - Support children with Special Educational Needs in all areas of learning. - Responsible for the wellbeing and safeguarding of all students. - Supporting targeted intervention in key subject areas such as phonics and maths. - Assisting the class teacher with preparing resources and classroom management. Role Requirements - Experience working in an education/childcare setting. - A passion for education and supporting children in their learning journey. - Experience supporting SEN and/or SEMH pupils. - Availability to work part-time on a regular weekly basis. - Good command of the English language both written and verbal. - Understanding of and desire to support children who may have additional learning needs. - Desirable – A relevant TA qualification.
