Enso Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Engineer on behalf of one of our key clients. This role involves leading the analysis, design, and delivery of future-proof technical solutions, along with BAU troubleshooting and resolution responsibilities. You will also collaborate closely with other Senior Project Engineers to support and maintain a modern cloud datacentre platform. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and has experience managing diverse IT infrastructures across multiple customers. Strong technical capability and excellent communication skills are essential, with daily engagement expected across a range of internal and external stakeholders. Roles and Responsibilities As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering IT infrastructure projects following industry best practices. You will work across a broad set of technologies, including: Enterprise Technologies: Microsoft, VMware, Dell, FortiGate, Veeam, Hyper-V Networking: Configuration and deployment of switches, firewalls, routers, storage systems, and Wi-Fi solutions Virtualisation & High Availability: Implementing clustered virtualisation solutions to support HA, DR, and business continuity Directory Services: Managing Active Directory domains across multi-site environments Microsoft 365: Administration of email, security protocols, MFA, and productivity applications Hardware Deployment: Physical installation of hardware in customer server cabinets Technical Support: Troubleshooting complex issues and escalating within the team when appropriate Experience & Skills Required Proven experience in a senior technical delivery or operations role within an IT services or managed services environment Strong understanding of Windows and Linux server environments, virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and Fortinet technologies within datacentre environments Relevant technical certifications and qualifications Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships Ability to independently manage projects, including documentation, reporting, and time tracking Ability to propose and deliver solutions tailored to customer needs The Package A supportive and collaborative working environment The opportunity to work with a diverse and dynamic team Hybrid working model Extra day off for your birthday Team-building activities Learning and development opportunities Regular social events Private medical cover Healthcare cash plan 31 days holiday, with additional days awarded for long service To be considered for this or similar opportunities, reach out to Enso Recruitment today!
