Job Title: Payroll Officer
Location: Chapel-en-le-Frith
Salary: £31,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Working Pattern: Office-based
A well-established UK-based business is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its growing team. Due to continued expansion, this is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in a busy, hands-on environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Full end-to-end processing of hourly and salaried payroll
Time and attendance system reporting
Processing starters and leavers
Managing absences in line with statutory requirements and company policies
Administering company pension schemes and ensuring compliance
Processing payroll deductions and ad hoc payments
Finalising payroll including submissions, payments, payslips, P45s and HMRC reporting
Supporting the Accounts Team with additional administrative and finance tasks as required
About You
Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
Experience using Sage Payroll
Sage 50 Accounts experience desirable
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Professional, proactive and able to manage deadlines effectively
Confident working in a fast-paced environment
