Ford is investing £355m into the Halewood site to produce electric power units and Halewood will be the first site to manufacture EV components in Europe, commencing in 2024 with a capacity of 420,000 units.
Salary: £43,912.80
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00-15:30 and Friday 7:00-12:30 (must be flexible to work shift patterns when required)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Must have completed a relevant apprenticeship to be able to complete the tasks above.
General computer literacy using company systems.
User knowledge of excel & access database applications.
Valid driving license
Prior knowledge of transmission function & teardown would be an advantage.
Effective communication skills
Highly motivated and self-driven with innovation skills.
Proven ability to work in a Team.
Good understanding of 5 S and workplace organization
Willing to learn, adaptable and have a flexible approach towards change.
Knowledge of vehicle repairs would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
De-energising / Energising Electric cars.
Use Diagnostics Equipment
Teardown / Rebuild transmissions / Power Units for investigations
Fit / Remove transmissions /Power Units into vehicles
Carryout In-vehicle evaluation of transmission / Power Units in accordance with the Engineering Test
Specifications.
Represent the Company on drive appraisal events at Customer locations
