As a Integration Technician, you are the face of the company, responsible for delivering flawless technical solutions while maintaining a professional and positive presence on-site. This role demands precision, accountability, and a commitment to excellence—our business depends on it. Key Responsibilities: Install and Commission Systems – Ensure the successful installation and commissioning of AV solutions, including hardware, cabling, and configuration, to CTI’s industry-leading standards. Follow System Documentation – Work from project briefs, system schematics, rack elevations, room elevations, and construction markups to ensure accurate installations. Technical Expertise – Have strong working knowledge of commercial AV products and brands, such as Extron, Ross ,Crestron, Biamp, and QSC. Deliver Engineering Excellence – Take ownership of quality at every stage—ensuring installations are precise, tested, and commissioned to the highest standard. Excellence isn’t optional; it’s expected. Be the Face of CTI – Always maintain professionalism, communicate clearly, and represent CTI in a positive and respectful manner with clients, contractors, and colleagues. Lead Health & Safety Compliance – Manage and adhere to all on-site health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. Document Site Work – Complete all relevant documentation, including serial number records, manual cable schedules, and stock return forms, ensuring full project traceability. Understand Project Scope – Fully grasp installation objectives, site coordination, materials, personnel requirements, and scope of work to execute projects efficiently. Manage Tools & Stock – Monitor van stock levels, cable usage, and tool conditions, coordinating with the management team to address and/or re-stock as required. Engage in Toolbox Talks – Attend internal and on-site toolbox talks, contributing to team safety and efficiency discussions. Adapt to On-Site Challenges – Remain flexible and solution-oriented when faced with design or construction obstacles, using initiative to overcome issues. Coordinate Product Returns – Work with Project Coordination to manage product returns, van stock levels, and holiday scheduling. Assess and Report Risks – Identify potential site risks and hazards, contributing to existing site-specific risk and method statements. Be the Engineering Point of Contact – Act as the key internal and external liaison for engineering communications when the Project Manager is unavailable. Coordinate with Contractors – Collaborate with general contractors, construction managers, and other trades as needed to align project execution. Report to Management – Provide regular updates to Project Managers regarding site progress and any issues affecting quality or delivery. Ensure Quality Control – Inspect installation work against CTI’s Engineering Standards Documentation, making corrections as required to uphold our industry-leading reputation. Perform System Testing – Test and certify system performance, ensuring all components function as intended before sign-off. Provide Basic Client Training – Deliver functional training to clients, ensuring they can confidently operate installed systems. Maintain a Flexible Work Approach – Be adaptable with working hours and site requirements to meet project deadlines without compromising quality. Follow CTI’s Quality Standards – Ensure all responsibilities align with CTI’s ISO 9001 quality procedures. It’s Not Done Until It’s Done – See installations through to absolute completion, including system sign-offs, return of any unused materials, final quality assurance checks, and smooth handover to the service department. It’s Not Done Until It’s Done – See projects through to absolute completion, including sending invoices, returning RMAs to suppliers, completing all sign-off paperwork, and ensuring a full handover to the service department. Key Skills & Qualifications: We value professional growth and encourage our Integration Technicians to pursue ongoing development in the following areas: Certifications: CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), CTS-I (Installation), ECS (Electrotechnical Certification), IPAF (Powered Access Training), PASMA (Prefabricated Access Training) and SSSTS. Manufacturer-Specific Training: Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC and Ross etc Technical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, hands-on installation experience, and the ability to work with AV control systems and networking. Software Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools to assist in installations and system configuration. Problem-solving under pressure – Approach on-site challenges with a calm and solutions-focused attitude, keeping projects on track. Dress Code We maintain a professional yet practical dress code depending on the work environment: Construction & Installation Sites: Practical site attire, including CTI-branded polo shirts, site cargo trousers, and provided steel-toe-capped boots.
