NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB) is a statutory NHS organisation responsible for developing a plan for meeting the health needs of our communities, managing the NHS budget, and arranging for the provision of joined up health services which improve the lives of people who live and work in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

By collaborating as an integrated care system (ICS) our health and care organisations can tackle complex challenges, including:

* improving the health of children and young people
* supporting people to stay well and independent
* acting sooner to help those with preventable conditions
* supporting those with long-term conditions or mental health issues


Main duties of the job

As part of this role the post holder will be involved in:

* The post holder will contribute to the Patient Experience work stream within the Quality function and liaise with the ICB Quality Improvement function to deliver their workstream of programmes within the ICB.
* The post holder will provide support to complex multi-agency processes managed by members of the team (e.g. serious incident reporting, safeguarding alerts; significant event audit).
* Participate in developing, implementing and monitoring relevant policies, procedures and protocols to meet ICB's Patient Experience and Complaints management standards.

For hybrid working we offer the flexibility to work from an office (Bodmin, Truro), and from home, depending on the requirements of the team.


Person Specification


Qualifications

* Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
* Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent.


Knowledge & Experience

* Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
* Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
* Experience of managing patient safety and risks and associated reporting.
* Experience of working within Patient safety/quality
* Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at SMT level.
* Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment.


Skills and Abilities

* Experience of drafting briefing papers, reports and correspondence at SMT level
* Evidence of success in efficient and effective project and programme management.
* Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated capability to act upon incomplete information, using experience to make inferences and decision making.
