The purpose of this role is to ensure the procurement ofassignedrawmaterialsand packagingcategoriesisin line withProcurement/Supply Chainbest practice, companyguidelines,sitequalityand cost–effectivecommercialtargets.Accountable forglobal strategydecisions in sourcing,establishingand managingbudget/commercials, performancemeasuresand business goals for thedirectsourcing of raw materialsand packagingfor thesite.
Job Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are associated with this job rolebut are not limited to:
1. Develop &maintainstrategic supplier relationshipsfor assigned categories(chemical raw materials and packaging)
2. Provide regular cost andpurchasing‑trend insights to internal stakeholders while ensuring SAP pricing dataremainscurrent andmonitoringglobal market pricing toidentifyrisks and opportunities.
3. Monitor supplier performance, communicate rankings to suppliers to drive continuous improvement, and deliver regular reports to internal stakeholders.
4. Effective co-ordination of essential site purchasing activities, global contracts &purchasingcontinuousimprovement projects.
5. Responsible fordirect material&packagingsuppliers, managingnegotiations & contractingissuesand quality assessments
6. Developing &establishingnew relationshipswith strategic raw material suppliers
7. Define andmanage the supplierperformancereviewsincluding audits(ISO 9000)
8. Conductregular supplier review meetings and improve the current supplier rating criteria process
9. Responsible for ensuring adherence and compliance to global purchasing processes and standards
10. Support management and departmental teams in the periodic business audits and updating of all procedures, including the identification of critical procedures
11. Contribute to site wide Healthy and Safety goals by engaging in all aspects of the Health and Safety training.
Qualifications and DESIRED SKILLS
12. Strongexperience within an industrial purchasing/procurement/sourcingrole
13. Qualified to Degree level
14. Highly Influential, with ability to negotiate effectivelyacrossthe globe(Strategic Global outlook)
15. Experience using SAPsystems
16. Chemicalindustry/manufacturing experience preferred
17. Candemonstrateeffective leadership skills with stakeholders
18. Strong process managementincludingexperience of auditing processes
19. Great communicationskills and the ability to develop long-term cross functional and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, across all operational environments
20. Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualificationspreferred, but notrequired
