We have embarked on a new journey this year as respected leader in fine jewellery manufacturing, known for our commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and CAD design. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Stone Setter to join our team of artisans.
Position Overview
As a Stone Setter, you will be responsible for setting a variety of gemstones (diamonds and coloured stones) into precious metal jewellery using a range of setting techniques. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, more than 5 years experience and a passion for excellence in craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
1. Set stones using techniques such as channel, claw, bezel, pavé, and flush setting, experience specifically as a micro-setter.
2. Inspect and prepare mountings to ensure secure stone placement
3. Work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds and gemstones
4. Collaborate with designers, and quality control teams
5. Perform quality checks and ensure all stones are set securely and aligned correctly.
6. Must have high attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
7. Knowledge of different types of gemstones, their properties and appropriate setting techniques
Requirements
8. Minimum of 5 years experience as a professional Stone Setter.
9. Expert knowledge of setting techniques and tools
10. Ability to work with precious metals and delicate stones
11. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
12. Ability to read and interpret technical jewellery drawings
13. Reliable, punctual, and able to meet production deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
14. Experience in high-end or luxury jewellery manufacturing
15. Background in CAD-based jewellery design (a plus)
16. Bench Jewellery experience/ previous employment.
