A leading US law firm is continuing to invest in the growth of its London Debt Finance practice and is now looking to hire an additional associate following recent expansion and key strategic hires.
This is a newly active mandate within a compact, high-performing team that sits at the core of the firm’s European finance offering.
The group advises on a wide range of sophisticated financing transactions, acting for sponsors, corporates, and financial institutions across both domestic and cross-border deals.
The London team operates as part of a fully integrated global platform, working closely with colleagues in the US and across Europe. Despite its relatively lean size, the team offers a strong and consistent flow of high-quality work, giving associates the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility and develop quickly.
The Opportunity
* Hiring within a strict 2–5 PQE range, with a focus on associates who are keen to step into a more hands-on role within a lean team
* Early responsibility on transactions, with the chance to take ownership of key workstreams and develop strong client exposure
* Broad experience across a range of financing transactions, including leveraged finance, acquisition finance, and general corporate lending
* Close working relationships with partners and senior lawyers, providing direct mentorship and real-time feedback
* Cross-border exposure through regular collaboration with international offices
Candidate Profile
* England & Wales qualified (or equivalent), with experience gained at a leading international or US firm; some flexibility for exceptional candidates
* A solid foundation in debt finance, with exposure to a range of financing structures and transaction types
* Strong technical skills combined with a commercial and pragmatic approach to deal execution
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Confident communicator with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
