Our Client
Our client is a boutique consultancy supporting high-net-worth individuals and businesses with expert financial advice and hands-on management, from everyday accounting through to international tax.
The Role
Youll take ownership of day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, acting as the link between internal teams and client stakeholders. Expect plenty of variety: accurate month-end routines, payrolls, compliance support, and occasional client site visits even light audit work when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain ledgers and handle AP/AR, bank and cash reconciliations, and balance sheet recs
Prepare journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll), fixed-asset postings and schedules
Produce management accounts packs with variance commentary and action points
Run UK payrolls end-to-end, including onboarding/leavers, RTI submissions, pensions, statutory payments, payslips and year-end support
Post payroll journals and reconcile payroll control accounts
Prepare or assist with VAT returns and routine compliance; compile audit-ready files
Carry out client site visits for controls walkthroughs, documentation and spot checks, issuing follow-up notes
Help improve processes and strengthen controls, calendars and SOPs
Communicate clearly in both Turkish and English with colleagues and client stakeholders
About You
25+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience in practice or industry
Retail or multi-site experience strongly preferred
Strong UK payroll expertise (RTI, auto-enrolment, starters/leavers, year-end)
Excellent bookkeeping and month-end skills with sharp attention to detail
Fluent in Turkish and English, written and spoken
Confident with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage (including payroll) and Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups)
Proactive, organised and comfortable working both independently and directly with clients
Working Pattern & Location
Part-time, permanent role: minimum three days per week (or equivalent)
Hybrid London-based arrangement with a mix of office work, remote days and occasional client site visits
A salary of c. £45k fte* is on offer, subject to experience. (£27k actual).
20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
