My client is currently seeking a Criminal Solicitor to join their law firm in Leicester, Leicestershire. A progressive and expanding law firm is looking to appoint a Criminal Solicitor to join its busy defence department. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s passionate about criminal law and looking for a long-term role within a supportive team environment. The firm handles a wide range of criminal matters from minor offences through to serious crime, with a strong reputation for client care and robust representation. The Role The successful candidate will manage a caseload of criminal defence work and represent clients from police station attendance through to trial. You’ll have the chance to work closely with an experienced and approachable team, gaining valuable exposure and professional development opportunities. Key responsibilities include: • Attending police stations and advising clients under PACE. • Representing clients in the Magistrates’ Court. • Preparing cases for Crown Court and liaising with counsel. • Advising on all aspects of criminal law, procedure, and evidence. • Managing case files efficiently with strong compliance and client service standards. About You • Qualified Solicitor with at least 1 year PQE in criminal law. • Duty Solicitor status or working towards accreditation. • Confident advocate with strong written and verbal skills. • Excellent client care and the ability to work under pressure. • Enthusiastic, reliable, and team-oriented.
