The Role A leading, independent built environment consultancy is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join its Birmingham office within a national programmes team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded individual to take a leading role in delivering a range of high-profile projects, while contributing to business growth and client development.
You will be responsible for delivering core Project Management services across multiple commissions, working closely with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities Leading and supporting the delivery of projects from feasibility through to completion and post-handover
Preparing and managing project programmes and key RIBA stage reports
Managing multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure successful project outcomes
Attending and leading client meetings, including preparation of reports and presentations
Assisting in the preparation of contract documentation
Administering building contracts and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
Supporting and leading the preparation of fee proposals and tender submissions
Attending client interviews and contributing to securing new business
Ensuring delivery aligns with commercial objectives and quality standards
Maintaining compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures
The Candidate Applicants will be able to demonstrate:
Degree in Construction Project Management or a related discipline
Professional membership (MRICS or equivalent) preferred
Strong experience delivering projects from inception to completion
Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
Experience within public sector and/or framework environments (desirable)
Strong leadership and team management capability
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Commercial awareness with a proactive and solution-focused approach
Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
NEC Project Manager accreditation is desirable but can be supported if not already obtained.
