About the Role:
We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support the personal development, behaviour, and welfare of students. The successful candidate will work closely with a specific year group, providing tailored support to help students overcome barriers to learning, improve attendance and punctuality, and promote positive behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
Pastoral Support: Provide effective pastoral care, supporting students’ emotional well-being and promoting a positive school environment.
Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to manage and improve student behaviour, including monitoring high-risk students and liaising with parents and staff.
Attendance and Punctuality: Monitor and support improvements in student attendance, producing reports and communicating with families to encourage positive habits.
Student Progress: Assist in identifying underperformance and work collaboratively with the leadership team to plan interventions that support student progress.
Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies, contributing to a cohesive school community.
Leadership and Mentorship: Promote student leadership opportunities and encourage student voice within the year group.
What We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting student welfare.
