The Role
As an EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant, each day is filled with opportunities to spark imagination and encourage discovery. From sensory play and outdoor exploration to story sessions and creative activities, you'll help pupils engage in hands-on learning that nurtures their social, emotional, and academic growth. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you'll adapt activities to meet individual needs, ensuring every child has the best possible start to their school journey.
The Ideal Person and Skills Needed
The school is seeking someone patient, playful, and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for supporting young children with additional needs. Previous experience in education, care, or support work is valued, but what matters most is your ability to build positive relationships and create a safe, joyful space for learning.
* A qualification in a relevant field e.g Childcare, EYFS, or Health and Social Care
* An understanding of child development and the importance of play-based learning
* Creativity and energy to bring fun and variety to the school day
* A calm and nurturing approach, with the ability to respond to individual needs

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcomed.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
