The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in both English Language and English Literature
* Inspire students to develop confidence in reading, writing and critical analysis
* Support students of all abilities through well-structured and differentiated lessons
* Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to support improvement
* Prepare students for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations
* Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources
* Support enrichment opportunities such as reading clubs, theatre visits or writing competitions
* Play an active role in the pastoral life of the school, including form tutoring
