Lead Electrical Engineer
Closing Date for Applications – 12th December (COB)
Responsible for providing specialist technical and managerial leadership for Electrical Engineering mainly to projects, plant modifications, continuous improvement, EHS and maintenance operations.
Responsible for providing support on all electrical matters on the Montrose site - safety, policies, standards, maintenance, training & mentoring electrical staff and electrical energy management.
Provision of guidance and management supervision of the Electrical Engineering team.
Defines the design, installation, commissioning, operations continuing maintenance, testing and philosophies relating to Electrical systems

In this role you will:
* Manage the professional Electrical Engineering team on site, providing guidance and support as well as priorities to a team of up to four people.
* Develop the Site Electrical Strategy and champion related projects in conjunction with the Site Infrastructure and Site Development plans. Electrical Energy management and supporting initiatives for electrical energy savings.
* Safe Control, Operation and maintenance of the electrical utility, systems and apparatus including High Voltage system operations & switching.
* Requires a high degree of problem solving. Able to troubleshoot, facilitate decisions and weigh-up advantages and disadvantages in order to provide solutions.
* Approving the selection and installation of electrical equipment for safe and hazardous areas in line with all company standards.
* Support and engage with other GSK sites, above site GSK functions, and other industries to improve electrical infrastructure and equipment selection through shared knowledge and learning. Implement ‘best practice’ techniques and new technologies to deliver maximum availability/reliability of equipment whilst improving environmental impact.
