What you'll be doing
1. Responsible for ensuring that obligations systems deliver legally required information and services to authorised agencies in line with relevant legislation.
2. The focus of this role is network and system designs for obligatory platforms, including requirements capture, design, implementation, VV&T.
3. Providing support to operational teams to resolve 3rd/4th line complex live issues.
4. Ensure all specific project work is compliant with Government legal requirements and policies as well as BT security standards and policies.
5. Track development of new products and services as well as the evolution of existing network platforms to ensure that relevant obligations capability can be maintained.
6. Occasionally travelling globally for durations of up to two weeks at a time may be required as part of this role.
Essential Skills
7. Significant experience of designing and configuring VMWare.
8. Experience of configuring Linux, Windows Server, AAA.
9. Have experience of solution design and/or system engineering.
10. Have knowledge of security measures required to protect systems/data.
11. Experience in designing and configuring IP networks.

12. UK broadband network architectures and their associated OSS tools.
13. BT products and services including their platforms and underlying network architectures.
14. Inquisitive pro-active approach with a keenness to investigate and understand technical issues and implementations.

16. Working with government in regulatory areas.
