Heavy Plant Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Company Van & Tools Provided
Hours: 07:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday (Occasional Overtime)
We're looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, or Plant Engineer to join our growing team.
You'll work on a privately owned fleet including:
13T excavators down to 1.5T mini excavators
9T dumpers down to 1T skip dumpers
Vans and supporting plant equipment
Key Responsibilities:
Servicing, maintaining & repairing plant machinery
Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults
Planned maintenance & breakdown repairs
Pre-checks and inspections on fleet vehicles
Completing job reports safely and efficiently
Mostly workshop-based, occasional site visits (company vehicle provided)
What We're Looking For
Experience as a Plant Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, or Plant Engineer
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and plant systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence preferred
What's On Offer
