We are an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer based in the North-East of England, with over 50 years of experience in manufacturing critical subsea components and systems.
We are part of the Express Engineering Group who employ more than 300 employees across the two companies, Express Engineering (Gateshead) and Express Engineering (Fabrications) (trading as QA Weld Tech).
The main duties of the Quality Technician role will include:
* Conducting thorough concern investigations and associated data collection.
* Supporting corrective action roll-outs.
* Coordination of non-conforming parts and quarantine areas.
* Product & process audits.
* NCR administration and status control.
* Control of manufacturing records.
* Supporting any customer related quality issues.
Performing internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
As with all positions, due to the nature and varying demands of our business, the responsibilities and tasks are not limited to this overview and may change to meet future demands. Occasional travel may be required.
To be successful in this Quality Technician role at Express Engineering, you will:
* Be able to interpret engineering drawings & specifications.
* Have an understanding of machining & welding processes.
* Have an acute attention to detail.
* Be methodical and thorough in your approach.
* Be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
* Possess good IT skills, especially with Microsoft Office applications.
* Have the capability to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
* Possess good communication skills.
* Maintain a strong commitment to quality culture.
