On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Polisher Operator for a 12 Month contract based in Derby - 3 shift pattern - Days, Evenings & Nights.
Job description - the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Polisher Operator to support the manufacturing of Turbine Blades. The team are focussed on the production of Turbine Blade's, using manufacturing processes and associated documentation within a high-volume environment. Our client is at the cutting edge of civil aviation, developing the next generation of sustainable travel, whether that be through insertion of enhancements to their current engine offerings, revolutionary technology demonstrator programmes or exploring how they can utilise emerging technologies.
As a Polisher Operator you will be responsible for:
Inspection of parts using appropriate plant, equipment and techniques ranging all programmes within Civil Aerospace.
Working to approved process/inspection procedure and drawings.
Checking priorities and owning the commitments for turnaround of jobs.
Aiding the team in routine control checks for the area.
Continually looking for and highlighting efficiency improvements.
Ensuring full compliance with FOD & Segregation policy.
Booking non-conformances and conforming parts through the local booking system.Who we are looking for:
